In general, our classes comprise a small talk about yogic philosophy, a discussion and an introductory meditation technique consisting of a silent mantra.

All levels are welcome.

Although the class is free of charge, a small donation to cover the teacher’s travel expenses is welcome.

At the moment we are covering Central London and North East London. Check their respective sections for details and our calendar.

There are classes from the week beginning 2nd March 2014 until July. These include meditation, yoga (asanas) and kiirtan  (chanting, dancing and playing instruments) at our centre in Stoke Newington.

Yoga and Meditation Open Day
Ananda Marga Open Day – Saturday 8 March: 2.30pm – 7.00pm

Our half-day spiritual seminar happening on every 2nd Saturday of the month is especially designed for people looking for an introduction to yoga and meditation.

  • Starting with a yoga posture class (14:30-16:00)
  • Followed by a talk & discussion on spirituality (16:00-17:00)
  • Chanting and meditation (17:00-18:00)
  • And a yogic vegan meal

This is a perfect way to explore some of the practices of Ananda Marga and get a feel for the deeper aspects of yoga.

Yoga Posture (Asana) Class

You will learn how to use yoga to balance your cakras, glands, mind and body.
You will also learn many yogic tips on diet and lifestyle to help you stay healthy and positive.
The classes are deep, healing, spiritual and enjoyable.
All levels welcome.
Please dress comfortably and refrain from eating two hours before the class.
£7.50 (£6 concession).

  • Sundays 11:00-12noon with Shiivani

Yogic Meditation for All-round Fulfilment

This is a 6 week course to help you to bring the practice and understanding of meditation into your daily life. Each week we practice meditation along
with a discussion on one aspect of the practice. Donations welcome.

Open Kiirtana and Meditation

Kiirtana is an ancient form of spiritual practice celebrating the oneness of all creation. Come and join us in our singing of kiirtana to our universal mantra – Baba Nam Kevalam. It means “Everything is an expression of One Infinite Loving Consciousness”.
Be inspired by the music and the feeling of connection to that divine presence within, followed by the beauty and stillness in the silence of meditation. Donations welcome.

Monthly Chanting Evening

This is a monthly gathering to share in the devotional sentiment of kiirtana through singing and playing interesting instruments together. Tea and cakes provided.
